UPDATE
Our year is off to a GREAT start so far. We have learned so much already, and it's only the beginning of the year! I am personally so proud of our little friends because they are absorbing so much information at such a fast pace. From learning to write our letters, potty training, to simple everyday tasks like putting on our own shoes, our munchkins are working hard to succeed in all aspects of child development. I am super proud. :-)

DAYCARE KID OF THE MONTH:
BRIGHTON
Brighton is an adorable 2-year old girl who LOVES to sing. She is our very own "portable radio" because she sings everywhere she goes! Brighton is extremely bright for her age. She is a very enthusiastic learner. Brighton is such a pleasure to be around. Her warm smile is definitely VERY contagious! This charming girl has accomplished so much since she has joined our daycare. Way to go, Brighton! We are VERY proud of you!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- POTTY TRAINING TIPS:
1. Put your kid in the potty every 15 minutes.
When you start actual potty training, consistently place your child in the potty every 15 minutes.
2. Try naked time (at home only).
If at all possible, have your child freely walk naked. This will encourage him to use the restroom.
3. Give a reward.
Rewards are positive reinforcements that work wonders
4. Be a cheerleader.
The more you enthusiastically praise your child with every successful potty use, the more he is likely to keep succeeding.
5. Communicate with your child's teacher/daycare provider.
Let your provider know when you start potty training to stay consistent.
6. Show your child how it's done.
The best way to teach a child anything is by modeling, so show him exactly how to use the potty.
7. Take it on the road.
Bring a portable potty to stay consistent with potty training.
8. Limit bedtime drinks.
Lay off milk and juice at least an hour before bedtime.
9. Read potty-themed books.
Books inspire kids to want to use the potty. Also, reading in general is an awesome habit!
